Why Listening not Lecturing (LnL) Exists.

The Stigma Surrounding Mental Health

Despite growing awareness and advocacy for mental health, many individuals still feel reluctant to seek help due to fear of judgment or misunderstanding. This stigma can be particularly pronounced in certain cultures or communities, where mental health issues may be viewed as a sign of weakness.

As mental health concerns surged during the pandemic, it became crucial to address this stigma. Open conversations about mental health, along with the promotion of mental health resources, can help create a more supportive environment for those in need. Encouraging individuals to share their experiences and seek help can lead to a stronger community response to the crisis.

The Response to the Mental Health Crisis

In light of the growing mental health crisis, various responses have emerged at individual, community, and governmental levels. Mental health organizations and professionals have worked tirelessly to provide support and resources, often pivoting to telehealth services to reach those in need. This shift has made mental health care more accessible for many, although barriers still exist for certain populations.

Costs can be prohibitive.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we strive to give the vulnerable people to access of reasonably priced care available. Currently, our rates are £12.21. Why £12.21, you may ask? Currently, the minimum wage is £12.21, so that is what we Charge.

What I can help with…

The pages on the left explain the issues I can help with. The methods I use are a mix of elements (CBT, DBT, Art therapy, etc.) that I’ve found work on those issues. I do not claim to be a Magician, but someone with enough training and experience to help with those particular problems. I’ll explain more on each page.
